Taking a boat and exploring the Venice Lagoon, I saw gardens, shrines and buildings hidden among the trees that at sunset and twilight looked very mysterious.

The massive size of Denali is matched by the immense, vast sense of space that envelops one.
PINACLE
A flutter of wings over the ocean is dwarfed by the immense glacier caught by the last light of the day.

Mountains tower over a lone farm building in the Mat-Su Valley. Fall in the valley is a magical time of saturated colors and brisk air.
SHIMMERING LIGHT
Late afternoon when the light turns golden and the leaves vibrate in the gentle breeze, the landscape seems to shimmer with the expectation of the coming red light of sunset.
FIRST YELLOW TREES
As the air turns crisp in the fall, these trees are the first to turn yellow. It won't be long till the cool wind from the north turns the whole valley a vibrating gold.

Sunset Dance
This painting was inspired by a magical evening in the mountains. A fine mist was in the air that turned the atmosphere a golden peach color. As I watched the ecstatic drama, clouds rose over the mountain and spiraled and twirled their way above me turning gold and then pink.

She leaps embracing life, happiness, and love "flying" with the birds which are symbols of spiritual freedom.
